The cross-country team has been a part of Collegedale Academy’s athletic program since its inception
in 1997.  Coach Ron Reading coached the team from its first race until his final season in 2003. In 2004
Ryan Perry (Class of 1994) came back to CA to be the physical education teacher and cross-country
coach. Over his seven years of coaching several teams and individuals have qualified for the State
Championships, no student or team has ever participated at the state level. The school has attempted
to get the TSSAA to change the date of the state race to accommodate the student athletes of CA.
